HILLSBOROUGH - Roy G. Eldridge, 91, died peacefully Saturday February 16, 2013 at Hillsboro House Nursing Home. He was born in Waltham, Mass., September 20, 1921 and had most recently been living with his wife, daughter and son-in-law in Deering.

Roy was a WWII veteran, serving mostly in Iran. He was a carpenter by trade and loved trains, building radio control planes and boats, gardening and most of all creating and building miniature homes to scale.
Surviving family members are his wife of 69 years, Irene H. (Eldridge) Eldridge; and two daughters, Sandra Farmer and her husband Norman of Weare, and Linda Winters and her husband Bob Jr. of Deering; grandchildren Wendi Farmer, Bob Winters III, Glenn Winters, Beth (Winters) Fisher, Brenda Barss and Brian Farmer; great grandchildren Jason Welty, Morgan, Madisyn, Bridgette, Elijah and Evan Winters, Benjamin and Jeremy Barss, Kaley, Ella and Sam Farmer; and a great-great grandson, Davian.
No public services will be held at Roy's request.
