Virginia R. (deHaro) Mankiewicz, formerly of Boston and Concord, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the age of 93.

Born in Boston in 1920, she attended Boston Public Schools and went to Kathleen Dell Secretarial School. She worked for the Bank of Boston for many years, leaving the area to move to New Hampshire to be with her family. She joined the Havenwood family in 2003 and enjoyed the rest of her life there. She loved her bingo games and made many friends with her ready smile. She could always be seen visiting the residents of the nursing home as a friend.

Virginia is survived by a sister, Edna Maynard of Pompton Plains, N.J.; a daughter, Janice and her husband, Bob Gallagher, of Bow; two sons, Gary and his wife Pat Mankiewicz of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Keith Mankiewicz of Concord. Her greatest treasures in life were her 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her extended family of Trinity Baptist Church.

She will be lovingly missed by all.

All are welcome to a celebration of her life Thursday, August 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium at Havenwood Campus. Burial to follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

A special thank you to the staff for their caring and loving support to our mother. You made her life a comfortable one as she lived and then helped her to pass with love and dignity. She is at peace now.
