Margaret Joan Wood, 69, former resident of Pleasant View Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2013.

She was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Quincy Mass., a twin daughter of Laurence Vernon Wood Sr. and Eleanor Louise (Morris) Wood, both deceased. She was raised in Keene and graduated from Keene High School in 1962. She gave birth to a son, Terry Peets in her first but short marriage and then spent most of her years in Concord, having access to facilities at the state hospital and living in her own apartment on Rumford Street for over 22 years. There she met the love of her life, Patrick Finucane who became her partner for 27 years. They both loved the Concord area and spending time with each other. She also loved spending time with her family. She loved non-violent TV shows and movies and taking pictures of all of her family and friends when they were visiting.
She is survived by her loving partner, Patrick Finucane of Concord; her son, Terry Peets and his wife, Kathy, of Marlow; her daughter, Lisa Coppola of Somerville, Mass.; her siblings, Laurence V. Wood Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Mineral, Va., Kathaleen Morales and her husband Philip of Port St. Lucy, Fla., Kenneth W. Wood and his wife, Marilyn, of Lecanto, Fla. and her twin brother, Michael J. Wood and his wife, Susan, of Scarborough, Maine.
She was pre-deceased by her younger sister, Sandra Lee Louise Chandler who was married to Danny Chandler of Buckhannon, W.V., Sandra passed away in 2009.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church at 54 Pleasant St. in Concord. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Blossom Hill.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
