MUNCY, Pa. - John A. Adams, 83, of Muncy, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. He was born on June 27, 1930, in Michigan, a son of the late Koert and Emily (Wilson) Adams.

Mr. Adams proudly served as a Marine in World War II, the Korean War and the beginning of the Vietnam War. After serving his country, he worked for more than 12 years as a Federal Marshal, "retiring" to his job as a Bailiff for the New Hampshire court system.

Mr. Adams was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 25 years, the former Vivian Yeiser.

He is survived by a daughter, Randy and her husband, Michael Sorrenty, of New Hampshire; a son, Lane Ellis of Pennsylvania; as well as three grandchildren, Nathan, Magen, and Nicolas.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
