Irene T. Bennett, 104, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at her home in Concord.

Born in Hatfield Point, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of Guilford and Laura (Scribner) Reicker.
For many years she was a member of the Christian Science Church in Concord and the Mother Church in Boston.
For 20 years she worked at the Puritan Restaurant and the Brick Tower Restaurant for 18 years.
Later she and her husband opened up Bennett Guest House at York Beach, Maine, Short Sands. She and her husband also taught square dancing for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Bennett Sr. in 1985; and by her brother, Ralph Reicker; and her sister, Ruth Colpitts.
Survivors include her son, Robert W. Bennett Jr. of Bow; her daughter, Gail P. Schatz of E. Lyme, Conn.; three grandchildren, Lori Rodriguez of Tucson, Ariz.; Leslie Covington of St. Petersburg, Fla. and David P. Bennett of Baton Rouge, La.; and one niece, Patricia Dunwoody of St. John, New Brunswick.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 30, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
