BUCKINGHAM, Pa. – Ruth Johnson (Tasker) Moehrle, 91, of Buckingham, Pa., went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, April 18, 2014.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born in Epping, on April 19, 1922, to the late Leslie and Ruth (Johnson) Tasker. Ruth graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1944 and worked as a medical technician before and after marrying her devoted husband, Alfred F. Moehrle. With the birth of her first child she committed her life to making a good home for her husband and children. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, reading, appreciated fine music and baked marvelous home-made bread. She taught her children to appreciate the blessings of life, encouraged them to develop their talents, and was faithful in her Christian walk. For more than 35 years she worked as a grey lady volunteer for the American Red Cross bloodmobiles in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
She was predeceased by her husband after celebrating 54 years of marriage. Ruth found great comfort in her church family and services at Bethany Bible Fellowship Church.
Ruth will be missed in life by her daughter, Ruth Pastori and her husband, Michael, of Buckingham; her daughter, Elizabeth Blasko and her husband, Robert, of Hellertown; her daughter, Gretchen Moehrle of Allentown; her sister, Phyllis Wells of Perkasie (wife of the late Richard Wells); her grandson, Christopher Blasko and his wife Kristin of Hellertown; and her granddaughter, Deborah Blasko of Easton, Pa. She is also survived by her great grandson, Taylor James Burd; and great-granddaughter, Kayla Burd Goodwin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ruth's heavenly celebration gathering will include her parents and husband; her siblings, Leslie Tasker Jr. and Mary Ann Bailey; and her granddaughter Jennifer Pastori.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Ruth's family Monday, April 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bethany Bible Fellowship Church, 75 West Broad St., Hatfield, Pa., and join in the memorial celebration at 11 a.m.
Interment will be private.
