M. Adele Jakusik, 86, of Lewis Lane, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Kittery Point, Maine, daughter of the late Leopold and Lillian (Witham) Pelchat. She was a graduate of Traipe Academy in Kittery, Maine, class of 1945.

She worked for the Internal Revenue Service in the Portsmouth office for 12 years. She was a Welcome Wagon hostess for new residents of the Concord area while she raised her family. Once her children were grown she went to work at Blue Cross, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed sewing, and gardening with her husband Edward.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward Jakusik; two daughters, Sharon O'Brien and her husband, Thomas, of Raymond and Donna Pelczar and her husband, David, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Sean and Megan O'Brien and Gregory and Ryan Jakusik; a sister, Ann Damerow of Seattle; daughter-in-law, Mary Jakusik of Woodlands, Texas; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Bruce Jakusik, who died in 2003.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish/St. John, 72 South Main St., Concord.
Burial will follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery.
