PENACOOK – Alissa Fannie, 41, of Penacook died Monday, July 14th, 2014, at her home unexpectedly after a long history of Tourette's and Epilepsy.

She was born in Plymouth to Loretta (Boucher) Godfrey and Donald Fannie. Alissa grew up in Concord and moved to Ashburnham, Mass. while in middle school and then went to the Oakmont High School. She attended the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, Mass. where she studied nursing.
Alissa was a member of the Passamaquoddy First Nation in Perry, Maine and enjoyed going the ocean. She also loved music and the inspiration it gave her. Alissa traveled to Grateful Dead concerts, meeting many friends along the way.
She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Alissa is survived by her four children, whom she loved and cherished, Maggie, Cassie, Liam Carey and Noah Samson all of Penacook; her companion, Kenny Samson, of Concord; her father and stepmother, Donald and Kim Fannie of Concord; her mother, Loretta Godfrey, and her companion, Dave Dow, of the Passamaquoddy First Nation; her sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and husband, Marc Cote, and her nephews, Marc Jr. and Nathan Cote of Oakland, Maine; her step-brother, Matthew DeLois of Concord; her step-sister, Heather and her husband, Chris Ralphs of Boscawen; lifelong friend and confidant, Bob Carey of Penacook; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 19th, from 12 to 3:30 p.m. at the Wendell J. Butt Funeral Home, 42 Washington St., Penacook.
A gathering will follow at Don and Kim Fannie's home, 97 Carter Hill Road, Concord.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the Tourette's Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation will be gladly accepted at Wendell J. Butts Funeral home.
