NEW BOSTON – Scott Alan Dana, 57, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Lynn, Mass. on May 7, 1957, he was the son of Robert DeFlumeri Sr. and Barbara DeFlumeri. He lived there until he married his wife Diane Dana in 1985 and moved to New Boston.

During his life Scott enjoyed spending time with his family at their camp on Lake Pemigewesset, as well as spending time outside and taking care of his plants. He also enjoyed coaching as many of his kids sports teams as he could. Scott was a longtime volunteer of the New Boston Fire Department. The community of New Boston will miss his terrifying Halloween displays and friends will miss watching the 4th of July parade from the porch!
Members of the family include his wife, Diane Dana; his daughter, Maggie Dana; and his son, Sam Dana. He also leaves behind his father, Robert DeFlumeri Sr.; mother, Barbara DeFlumeri; grandmother, Viola DeFlumeri; and siblings, Robin and Kevin Brown, Robert and Claudia DeFlumeri Jr. and Cheryl and Richard Piaseczynski; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial reception will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 p.m. at the French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown.
