David Winston Feathers passed away July 10, 2012. He was born in Concord, January 17 1924 the son of Fermor and Marissa Feathers.

He was a Marine in World War II, sixth division, and served in the South Pacific. He worked all over New England as a Tree Surgeon for Bartlett Tree. He settled in west Concord raising his family. He worked for the City Of Concord as a climber. He started his own company "Feathers Tree Service" and moved his business to Vero Beach Fla. in the early 70's, then continued Feathers Tree service when he Moved to Lincoln, Calif.

He is Survived by his wife Elsie; his three sons Mike, Scott and Troy; three daughters Pam Smith, Robin Abbott, and Julie Walter; his stepchildren Manuel, Jim and Susie Thomas, Carolyn Schroeder, and BJ Flint; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his half sister Mary lou Chaplin.
He was predeceased by six sisters Fermor Moscaritalo, Viginia Shute, Cora Snider, Kathaline Feathers, E. Patricia Stienhouser and Jennett Greenlaw; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints.
