PEMBROKE - Ruth C. (Martin) Miller, 98, formerly of Parish, N.Y., died peacefully Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.

Born in Bridgewater, N.Y. May 23, 1914, Ruth was the daughter of James and Lulabelle (Winters) Martin. She and her husband, the late William A. Miller, eventually relocated to Syracuse, N.Y. where they raised three daughters. Ruth spent many years as a cook in the Syracuse School District and the Syracuse State School.

She resided many years in Concord, where she worked for Sprague Electric before returning to New York to live with her daughter Margibeth. The last few years of her life, Ruth lived in New Hampshire with her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Bunny and Tom Bell.

She was predeceased by her husband William; her eldest daughter, Darlene Mosher; one brother, Harry Martin; and two sisters, Doris Kellogg and Esther Close.

Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Margibeth Miller and her partner Phyllis Fish of Brunswick, Ga., and Bunny Bell and her husband Tom of Pembroke; a son-in-law, George Mosher of Bow; four grandchildren, Debra Sue Zimmerman and her husband Lawrence of Voorheesville, N.Y., Laurie Rabbitt and her husband Mike of Bow, Lynn Cochran and her husband John of Loudon, and William Bell and his wife Dori of Concord; seven great grandchildren, Jennifer Zalenski, Christopher, Derek, and Sarah Bell, Ashley Fortune, Cody Auterio, and Shiloh Zimmerman; and three great great grandchildren, Nicole Rabbitt, and Hunter and Allison Zalenski.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
