Joyce A. Hartz, age 74, longtime resident of Concord, died on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Beth Israel Hospital.

She was born in Brentwood, the daughter of the late Arthur Strong Sr. and Doris (Waterman) Hausler.

Joyce was an LNA for many years, working for several nursing homes. She retired from the Harris Hill Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Moose Club.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Therrien and her husband Rene of Manchester, and Kathy Hartz of Manchester; six grandchildren, Theresa Webb of Goffstown, Nicole Paquet of Pembroke, Christopher Lindahl of Cody, Wyo., Sheri Marcotte, Bobbi Jo Marcotte, and Patrick Gleason all of Manchester; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gloria Poitras of Goffstown, Nancy Ware of Chester, Brenda Strong of Laconia, and Joan Davis of Candia; four brothers, Phil Strong of Concord and Arthur Strong of Mesa, Ariz., Fred McInnis of Chester and Arnold McInnis of California; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Tina Marcotte.

Visiting hours will not be held.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Burial will follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.
