BRADFORD - Roberto A. Pugliese Sr., of West Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home. He was born in Cambridge, Mass. on Sept. 2, 1926, the son of Orlando D. and Helen B. (Foshey) Pugliese.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had been a machinist in Watertown, Mass. and then Bob was a custodian for Kearsarge Regional High School in North Sutton and elementary schools in Newbury, Sutton and Warner for many years retiring in 1991. Many also know him from his small engine business.
He lived in Bradford for over 60 years. Bob loved to garden and particularly enjoyed raising hundreds of tomatoes. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke.
Members of his family surviving include his son and wife, Rob and Anne Pugliese of Tangent, Ore.; three grandchildren, Roberto III, Nicholas and Mirabella; his longtime friend, Melinda Lasczak of Bradford; two brothers, Daniele G. Pugliese of Bradford, and Michael C. Pugliese of Sutton; a sister, Leila M. Paone of Lexington, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, with a service to follow at 3 p.m.
Burial with military honors will be Monday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass.
