Phil was born in Somerville, Mass., on April 30, 1940, the son of George Earle and Cecile (Dube) Dyment. He graduated from Medford High School and attended Northeastern University. Phil was a veteran, having proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. He spent most of his working years in marketing and computer programming.
Phil was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, but his loved ones were his true joy. Whether it was a family gathering, Fisher Cats game, a trip to Canobie Lake Park or an afternoon spent reminiscing with his brothers and sharing stories of their childhood, nothing was more important to Phil than time spent with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always managed to keep laughter in the lives of everyone around him (including the staff at Concord Hospital).
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Donna A. (Dale) Dyment; son, P. Shawn Dyment and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Kim Ribbans and her husband, Ed; brothers, Ronnie Dyment and his wife, Nancy; Kenneth C. Dyment and his wife, Ellen; sisters-in-law, Judy and Joan Dyment; grandchildren, Kayla Miner, Ashley Ribbans, Trevor Ribbans and Shawn P. Dyment; and many nieces and nephews.
Phil was predeceased by brothers Arthur Dyment and Lawrence Dyment.
The family will receive visitors Friday, Feb. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King St., Boscawen. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Phil will be laid to rest immediately following the services at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
