Anthony "Tony" Gerold Mascaro Dec. 23, 1922 - Nov. 4, 2013 Formerly of El Cerrito Anthony Mascaro of Angels Camp, CA, passed away on Nov. 4, 2013. Anthony is survived by his wife of 68 years Anna Cisi Mascaro, two sons and their spouses, Gerald Mascaro and Peggy of Mokelumne Hill, David Mascaro and Chere of Pleasant Hill, four grandchildren and spouses, Dr. Kimberly Mascaro of Oakland, Traci Olson and Eric of Walnut Creek, Kelly Oliveros and Pedro of Novato, Michael Mascaro and Jodi, of Pittsburg and four great grandchildren, Tyler Olson, Giovanni and Gabriel Oliveros and Olivia Mascaro. Anthony "Tony" was born to Tina and Domenico Mascaro in Pershing, Iowa on Dec. 23, 1922 and raised in Des Moines, IA. Tony served in the Iowa National Guard and U.S. Marine Corp
. Following WWII
Tony moved to El Cerrito, California where he met and married Anna. Tony and Ann owned and operated businesses in El Cerrito and Pleasant Hill for the next 40 years. In 2000, they moved to The Gold Country and have enjoyed their coffee shops, restaurants and travels around the area. Tony was a licensed private pilot. He loved flying and shared that love with many friends and family on short trips around California. His long trips were with Ann as his co-pilot and often lead to Des Moines, Iowa to visit family. Tony was the eldest of five brothers who predeceased him, Ralph, Palmer, Robert, and Fred. Tony is survived by many nieces and nephews in Iowa and California. Burial was private.
