Jan 20, 1930-Apr 15, 2013
Resident of Danville
Bernard Robles, 83 of Danville, passed away on the morning of April 15th. Barney was a lifelong resident of the San Ramon Valley. He proudly dedicated 35 years of service as a fire fighter. The station was his second home, and the brotherhood of firemen were his second family. Barney's early years as a rancher and cowboy were evident in his love of horses, the rodeo, camping, fishing, and country music. Barney was a dedicated family man, and was described as a father figure by his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Barney is preceded in death by his first wife, Rose and his son Thom. He is survived by his wife Helen; his children, Sandy, Chuck and Lois; his grandchildren Jason, Kelly and Erin; and by his great-grandchildren, Greyson and WinterRose.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday April 24th at the Danville Veterans Hall - 400 Hartz Ave, Danville.
The Robles family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the San Ramon Valley Fire Fighters who remained at Barney's side during his final hour. We were comforted to know that he was surrounded by men he considered brothers.
