Curtis C. Perry, son of the late Bob and Lucy Perry was born in Quitman, Mississippi on February 17, 1921. He was a life-long member of Stewart Memorial CME Church. He met and married Lovie Bland in 1941. They were married for 61 years until her passing in October 2000. Together they had seven children, four sons and three daughters. Sara Davis (Paul), Barbara Baines, Curtis Marvin Perry Sr. (deceased), Jimmy Perry, Donnie Perry, Vonda Williams (Dan) and Timothy Perry. They also have 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Curtis served in the Navy for two years as a shore patrol officer. He moved to Pittsburg in 1946, worked and retired from US Steel. He followed his passion, became an entrepreneur and owned several businesses over the years.
Curtis leaves behind a host of family, friends and a special friend Ms. Winefred Lindsey.
Visitation, Sunday June 30 from 3-6pm with a quiet hour from 4-5pm at Dan Scales Funeral Services , 107 W. 8th St, Pittsburg. Funeral Service, Monday July 1st at 11am at Stewart Memorial CME Church, 580 Front St, Pittsburg.
