Eleanor passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 21st. She was born in Napa CA on January 28th, 1920 to Rose and Edward Olivier. At the age of 2, her family moved to Martinez CA, where her family owned and operated a small grocery store on Alhambra Ave. She graduated from Alhambra High School in 1938.

Eleanor met the love of her life, Henry James Gallagher, a handsome young band leader, while his orchestra played at a local dance. They were married on July 28, 1947 in Martinez. Their daughter, Deborah Kathleen was born in November 1949. Shortly thereafter, the family relocated to their newly built home in Danville, where she resided for 63 years. Their son, Sean Timothy, was born in December 1951. The Gallagher family enjoyed an active social life in Danville, while Henry's orchestra performed throughout the Bay Area. The family enjoyed wonderful vacations at Lake Tahoe and in Mexico. Eleanor and Henry traveled the world extensively throughout their 50 year marriage - from Africa to South America, Asia to Europe.

Eleanor is preceeded in death by her husband Henry, and her brother Edward Olivier. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Morris (Robert) of Danville, her son Sean Gallagher of Walnut Creek, her 7 grandchildren - Jennifer Agnew (Randy) of Chico, Katherine Rockey (Matt) of Danville, Alison Fargas (Mike) of Clayton, Heather Perry (Chris) of Chicago, Elisabeth Wills (Ben) of Walnut Creek, Ellen Gallagher and Henry Gallagher of Walnut Creek, and four great grandchildren - Gannon, Alexa, Sabrina and Brooke Agnew of Chico.

A private family celebration was held, complete with a martini toast to a life well lived.
