Gone to be with his Lord Jesus, Henry passed away peacefully at home at age 97. A proud Air Force veteran, Henry survived WWII and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts as a Colonel in the USAF. Upon retirement from the military, he enjoyed teaching the sciences at Campolindo and Miramonte High Schools. He was active in his beloved Church, and was a devoted member of Toastmasters. Henry was an excellent tennis player. He also coached various sports and enjoyed participating in all types of sporting events. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Gemma, and is survived by Norma, his loving wife of 44 years, devoted children Rick, Greg, Kathy, Patricia, Doug, and by grandchildren Allison, Jessica, Kelly, Jeremy, Julia, Jagger, Chanelle, Joseph, and sister Marianne. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2317 Buena Vista Avenue, Walnut Creek, on Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 10 am. A military graveside service will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette at 2 pm. Henry is deeply loved and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
