James Milton McComsey

James Milton McComsey of Pleasant Hill, CA was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. He proudly served in WWII and the Korean War. He was an engineer at ATT for 38 years. His work included many classified projects for the government so that after retiring from ATT in Washington, DC he was led seamlessly into another career with the Department of State where he was responsible for Embassy Communications. He retired again in 1997 when he married Barbara and moved to California.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara, his daughter Terry and son-in-law Steve and their three children, Christina, Bethany and Alyssa. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years (Betty) and daughter (Betty Lynn).
He never failed to watch an Auburn game (Go Tigers!) He was the best of men. He had an engaging sense of humor and was beloved by all. He was a very happy man and lived a gloriously happy life as exemplified by his favorite song, "What A Wonderful World." Services will be held in Virginia.
