Joseph (Joe) Dominic Ambrulevich passed away Saturday at the age of 82.
Joe was born in Branford, CT. He served four years in the U.S. Navy
and then earned a degree from the University of Connecticut. He met his wife in 1961 in Washington, D.C, and together they moved to California in 1963. They were married for more than 50 years. He worked for over 30 years at Sandia National Laboratories and retired in 1994. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Berryessa, watching the Giants, Forty-Niners and Uconn women's basketball, investing in the stock market, and spending time with his family.
Joe is survived by his wife, Brenda; children Michael and Jennifer; grandson Joseph; and dog Kona. He is also survived by his twin brother John and his sister-in-law Almeda and niece Marion Martone. His sweet gentle spirit and big smile will be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral mass and reception will be held at St. John Vianney Church, 1650 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, starting at 10:30 AM on Thursday October 17.
