Lisa passed away of a heart attack Sunday April 14th in the arms of her husband of 38 years at their Concord home. She was born in Richmond on April 18, 1954 to Marseco and Mary Aranda.
She cheated the cancer that she had been fighting since 2010. Lisa had been diagnosed with breast cancer, and bone metastasis.
Lisa met her future husband Michael in 9th grade on Valentine's day, which was the start of their lifelong journey together. They wed in 1974 in San Pablo, CA at St. Paul's Church. They raised two children, Michele and Michael and later enjoyed their four grandchildren Mia, Caydence, Travis and Mateo.
Lisa attended Richmond High School and graduated in 1972. She than began her 35 year career with Wells Fargo Bank, most of which she was a merchant teller at the Concord Main Branch where she made many lifelong friends.
Lisa enjoyed trips on the motorcycle with her husband, sewing, making quilts for her family and friends, and just being surrounded by loved ones.
Lisa made friends with everyone she met, including the Doctors, nurses and staff at Kaiser, they helped every step of the way with the cancer treatments, and made Lisa feel like more than just a patient. She wanted to thank them, their care and concern made a world of difference in her life. The family wishes to thank old and new friends that have shown their support and provided comfort to her and her family.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael A. Cordero; children, Michele Tellez (Mark) and Michael Cordero (Lucy); siblings, Tony Aranda, Marcie Zimmerman, Joe Aranda and Elizabeth Lopez; as well as her parents and grandchildren, Mia Tellez, Caydence Cordero, Travis Cordero and Mateo Tellez.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00PM, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm Thursday, April 25, 2013 and the Funeral Service at 10:30 am, Friday, April 26, 2013 all at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord.
The family has requested if you have a quilt Lisa has made, please bring it for display for Friday's services. Lisa loved pink in honor of Breast Cancer Support and Awareness, if sending flowers, pink arrangements would be preferred.
