Norma E. Lerkins was born in Geneva, N.Y. and received her early education there. She was a graduate of William Smith College and Syracuse University School of Library Science. Post-graduate courses were taken at Columbia University. For twenty-two years she was a school librarian in New York state. The last fourteen years were in Niagara Falls N.Y. There she met Eugene W. Davidson of Iowa and the two were married in 1964. Norma greatly enjoyed both reading and writing. Two books were published, LETTERS FROM CALIFORNIA OR HE MARRIED ME FOR MY DRAPES and TO LOVE HONOR…AND TRAVEL. Norma moved with her husband to California in 1975. Norma was known locally as a book reviewer. For several years Norma was active in Ikebana International and AAUW. She and her husband gave slide shows of their travels. Norma was an only child. Norma and Eugene were childless. Survivors are nieces and a nephew on Eugene's side of the family. Burial will be in Geneva, N.Y.
