Resident of Alamo
Richard Doty, 76, entered eternal rest on May 29th in Alamo with his loving family by his side. Richard was born in Oakland, grew up in Orinda and resided in Alamo for the last 40 years. He is survived by his wife Carol and children, Jill Williams and Chris. Richard graduated from UC Berkeley and served in the U.S. Air Force
and Reserves. He joined his father at Abe Doty Commercial Realtors before founding his own companies, Doty Realty and Jilchris Co.
Richard loved flying, fishing, skiing, traveling, boating and camping with his family and friends. In recent years, he served as Head Trustee at Messiah Lutheran in Danville, served on the Executive Committee at the American Legion Post 246 in Danville, and was a past president of the Las Aguilas De Diablo Eagle Scouts. A Memorial Service is planned at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2305 Camino Tassajara in Danville at 11 am on Sat. June 15. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the above organizations he served.
