Roberta "Jean" Kallenberg passed away on March 14, 2014. She was born on August 15, 1931 in Waverly, Iowa to Kenneth and Blanche Stephenson. Jean is survived by her husband of 60 years; Donald Curtis Kallenberg Sr. Jean and Don met their senior year at the University of Iowa in 1952. Don and Jean were married in 1954 and moved to the land of opportunity, California, in 1956 to raise a family. Jean and Don resided in Pleasanton for the past 46 years.
Jean is survived by daughters Kathy (Cal) Joyner and Cara (Rick) Gielow, and son Curt (Vicki) Kallenberg, and grandchildren Chad, Jordan and Jenna Gielow and Ryan and Mark Joyner. Jean is also survived by her brother, Jack Stephenson and sisters, Marian Sells and Ava Tharp.
Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent several rewarding years as a Speech Pathologist in Iowa and California Public Schools. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed all travel, especially international travel.
A private service for Jean was held with family on March 24, 2014 at Pleasanton Pioneer cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to , 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231
