Ron Mort passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He influenced many lives with his wisdom and forward thinking advice. Ron was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from El Segundo High School and went on to earn a degree in Advertising from Woodbury College where he met his devoted wife Doris. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and enjoyed a 30 year career with Chevron. Ron loved family camping trips, traveling to Europe, Alaska and the East Coast of the USA and was always his children and grandchildren's biggest fan and cheerleader in whatever activity they were involved.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 60 years Doris; devoted children Robin Mort and Sharon Oranje and her husband Gerald Oranje; grandchildren Heather Reece, her husband Christopher and Jennifer Oranje. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Bradley and his wife Anne. His loving and guiding hand will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The Funeral Service will be held Sat., May 4. 2013 at 10:00 at Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary's Inspiration Chapel.
