Ruth Mildred Bradshaw Aug. 12, 1917 Dec. 20, 2012 Resident of Walnut Creek Ruth Bradshaw passed on peacefully on December 20th at Manor Care in Walnut Creek, California, from complications of pneumonia. She was surrounded by family and friends during the final weeks of her life, and is embraced still by their love. Ruth was born and raised in Berkeley, California, and led an active and vibrant life. She loved tap dancing as a young girl, and later enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband of 68 years, Victor Bradshaw. Victor and Ruth met at Berkeley High School, fell in love, and were married on June 29, 1938. Following their marriage Ruth worked in the Berkeley school system and in retail while Victor served in the US Army in France for several years during World War II. Longtime residents of El Cerrito, Ruth and Victor enjoyed years of golf together and with friends at the Mira Vista Country Club, as Victor pursued a fulfilling career with Mechanics Bank. They were blessed with two daughters, Karen and Linda. Ruth loved nothing more than family. She is survived by her daughter Linda, granddaughters Amanda Fuhrman, Abigail Adams, and Karrie Langan, and grandsons Alexander Steck and Devan Langan. She cherished her four great grandchildren: Jackson, Owen, and Grace Adams and Annabel Ruth Fuhrman. Memorial gifts in memory of Ruth may be made to CPMC Foundation/Dr. Goodson Breast Cancer
