Susan Lee Markham Bermudez Mar. 1, 1947 Feb. 26, 2013 Resident of Antioch As she was in life, Susi passed away peacefully and calmly in the loving presence of her family, after living a courageous year with leukemia. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Susi was selfless, generous, caring, giving, nurturing, thoughtful, determined and wise. Susi was born in Oakland, raised in Richmond and Concord, and resided in Antioch for the past 36 years. She had been an employee of Chevron for 36 years. She was embraced in a beautiful and loving relationship with her husband Manuel for 37 years. Susi was artistic, enjoyed dancing, giggling, bowling, bocci ball, traveling, going to the movies and dinner out. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marguerite Markham. She is survived by her loving husband Manuel; children Tami (Mike), Manuel Jr. (Brooke), and Erin; step daughters Kelly and Kristy (Juan); 8 grandchildren; sisters Lynn and Leslie; brother Carl. Services will be held March 8, 2013 at St. Ignatius Church of Antioch. Visitation from 9-10am; Service 10-11am. Reception to follow at the Elks Lodge of Pittsburg The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
