Bill quietly and peacefully went to his heavenly home due to heart failure at age 86 in Walnut Creek where he has been a resident for the last 42 years. He was employed by PG&E for 30 years as an office manager. He had been a member of the Walnut Creek Lions Club. He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the army where he was stationed in Korea during the Korean War.
He was born in Munhall, Pennsylvania and move to Martinez, CA when he was 14. After graduating from Alhambra High School he played semi pro baseball before enlisting in the military. He was preceded in death by his first wife Grace O'Connor, mother and father, three sisters and three brothers. One sister Elizabeth Lieber follwed him in death by 2 days.
Their interments will be together at Oakmont Memorial Park. He is survived by wife Rebecca Thomas and 5 stepchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends. He will be missed forever by all.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Creekside Church 444 Fig Tree Lane on Sunday March 30th at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to Creekside Church for their Mexico Missions project.
