Donald Theodore Davis

Donald Theodore Davis Passed away peacefully at his home in Livermore, at the age of 63. Don had a ten-year battle with cancer. He was a loving husband to Darlene (Dee) and a great father to Doug, Duane, and Drake. Don was very supporting and giving towards his family and friends. Many of us will remember him by his dimpled smile, logical advice, great listening skills, and his kind heart. Don was born March 9, 1940, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Donald and Audrey Davis. He shared his parent's home with three sisters and a brother, Dianne, Judy, Sandee, and Gary. He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota to pursue a career in electrical engineering. He found his way to Livermore to work at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory after graduation. The lab was where he met his wife and fulfilled his desire to be a scientist. Don's passion outside of family and work was golf and cards. He was a member of the Las Positas Men's Club, served as the president of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Golf Club, and also served a term as president of Microcentury Toastmaster Club. He enjoyed the card game of bridge, which he played regularly with friends and family. Don enjoyed being with the members of the golf and bridge groups very much. Services for Don will be at Callaghan's mortuary, 3833 East Ave., Livermore, CA. 94550, 925-447-2942, Saturday the 17th, at 10 am.
