Luz Sabalburo Corpuz Nov. 19, 1929 - Oct. 11, 2008 Luz passed away peacefully in Alameda, California on Oct. 11, 2008 at the age of 78. A native of Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she had lived in Alameda for 28 years. Luz, widow of Teodorico Sr. was survived by her loving children and their spouses: Adelaida & Roman Lacap, Felino & Alicia Guevarra, Jr. & Chona Lacuas, Nelita & Glenn Esteller, Daisy, Fe & Roland Rubio, and Nestor & Judith Valenzuela; her grandchildren: Tintin, Ayza & Raymond Pekson, Roman, Andre & Terri Golding, Gio, Jeffrey & Fatima Alegado, Jericho, Jacob, John, Mark & Mailyn Lugares, Mitchell, Marky, Draidelle & Mel Santiago, Gino & Daphne Tolentino, Irah, Marco, Mia and Jilven; her great-grandchildren: Kayla, Monaya, Arl, Sean, Mischa, Gio, Camille, Carissa, Teo, and Julian; and her sister Luisa Cardenas. Luz touched many lives with her kindness, generosity and good spirit. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Greer Family Mortuary located at 2694 Blanding Avenue in Alameda on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 4-9pm and Thursday Oct. 16 from 9am-9pm with a Rosary service at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Oct. 17 at 11am at St. Barnabas Church located at 1427 Sixth Street in Alameda. Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
