Alan Edward Simmons born July 6th, 1956. Passed away November 1st, 2013.
Alan was with the love of his life Debra Sue Simmons for over forty years.
Alan passed away peacefully in his wife's loving arms. He will be greatly missed by his wife Debbie Simmons of Pleasanton, Ca. His two sons Alan Simmons of Pleasanton, CA and Charles Simmons of Pacheco, CA. Daughter -in- law Cierra Simmons and his four grandchildren Dylan, Chloe, Layla and Levi Simmons of Pacheco, CA. His father Louis Simmons and his two brothers Dave and Rob of Exeter, CA and many nieces and nephews will miss him. Alan worked for Public Storage for the last 18 years in Pleasanton, CA on Stanley Blvd. He worked for 14 years in Ivanhoe, CA at the Public Utility District. Alan was a loving kind and generous man that loved the Oakland Raiders, going to the games and tailgating. He loved playing his guitar, fishing, and most of all spending time with laughter and love playing with his four grandchildren. He always had a smile and kind words for everyone.

Uncle Al is the funniest man i have know.. Halloween was my favorite holiday to be around him...to be chased with his eye was the greatest.. that tradituon will live on with my son.. was great to be able to tell him he was on the way & was gonna have his name. We tell him of u all the time.. save us a spot next to the greatest fishing place ever. We love u & miss u like crazy. Miss the leader of our goon squad.

I only met Alan Sr. a few times, but I was absolutely overwhelmed by this beautiful soul! I'm in love with Alan Jr and have nothing but absolute respect for this amazing man! What a beautiful soul...our few conversations were just amazing. I've never felt so accepted and had such a sense of true humanity. His love for his wife, Debbie, his sons, Alan & Charlie and his precious grandchildren was more than evident. What a perfectly beautiful man...God bless you ALAN SIMMONS. May You Rest in Peace! Alan was an incredible man. He always had a smile on his face and knew how to bring out the best in everyone. I had a blast talking football with him, and enjoyed the Raider/Niner bantering. Deb & Alan welcomed me to the PS family with open arms. It was such a warm and inviting feeling. Something I will treasure for ever. Alan will be missed, but never forgotten. The Simmons family are in my thoughts and prayers!

alan was such a kind soul who loved to laugh & help all. He always helped me fix stuff even though not his property. He always was encouraging & would give the shirt off his back to help someone. I will miss him truly as all will that he touched.He will be remembered by all as a good man that will be remembered.

My uncle alan was a trooper. He is one of the strongest men I know. He use to chase me around with his fake eyeball when I was little. And boy I wish I could of seen it one last time. What can I say about Alan .. I met him when I started working for ps .. He was my dad .. Always giving me good advice and helping me in anywAy possible. It's so sad that we lost such a great man ..
