Bruce Roddick

Bruce Ergo Roddick Jun. 19, 1928 ~ Mar. 19, 2013 Former Bay Area Resident Bruce was born in Oakland, CA; but he spent his youth growing up on a "ranch" in Soledad, CA before returning to Oakland and graduating from Oakland High School in 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Dale Roddick, and his son James Lee Roddick. He is survived by his brother Donald Leroy Roddick Jr., his loving wife Evelyn Marie (Myberger), his son David (Sharon) and grandchildren Heather Blass (Jake) and Christina Lee (Jeffrey), his daughter Denise Lundry (Mike) and grandchildren Erin Chinnici (Nick), Lauren Knickman (Kevin) and Stephen Lundry, and 9 great-grandchildren, all of whom love him dearly. He retired from a long career with PG & E in 1989, and moved from northern California to Carlsbad. Many years later he moved to Murrieta where he met and married Evelyn. Bruce was a generous, loving husband, father and grandfather. There will be a celebration of his life at 11 am, Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Lake Elsinore Elks Club in Wildomar, CA, followed by a reception. The family will schedule a memorial in San Jose where family and friends can gather in his honor. His final resting place will be at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
