Dorothy Rosenberg, died of pneumonia in Walnut Creek, CA. Born Dorothy Alice Oberndorf on March 2, 1921, in Detroit, MI, She grew up in the Bronx, NY.
After 51 years living in her Union, NJ house she moved to California to Byron Park in Walnut Creek to live near her daughter, Debby Koonce. She lived there for 3 years until she moved to Manor Care, Tice Valley, where she resided for the past 6 years until her death.
Dotty taught for over thirty years in Elizabeth, NJ public schools. Dotty retired at 76 and enjoyed volunteering and the educational aspects of traveling.
Dotty's survivors include: 2 daughters, Judy Silberman of Washington, DC, and Debby Koonce of Moraga, CA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Rosenberg's passing. She was my fifth grade teacher. A very sweet and dedicated teacher. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
