Elizabeth Fitzenz Obituary

Elizabeth (Liz) Fitzenz Dec. 17, 1935 ~ Jan. 14, 2014 Resident of San Jose Liz, the daughter of Jack and Jeanette Jansse, grew up in Orinda, attended Orinda grammar school and Acalanes High School. She passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose from multiple physical problems. She had lived in San Jose for several years with her oldest son, Peter, who provided her with devoted and constant care. She is survived by Peter's wife Ana and son Be; son Dan, wife Rika and daughter Hanna; and daughter Katie. Son Mike is deceased, leaving two sons. Also surviving Liz are her sister, Janet, brother-in-law Rich and nieces and nephews. Liz had a soft heart for those in need. When living in Santa Cruz, she actively participated in Meals on Wheels and when in San Jose, she frequently crossed the street across from her apartment to visit and play bingo with the patients at the convalescent hospital. Liz was an avid sports fan and knew many of the stats for football, baseball and basketball. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate Liz's spirit and tenacity and remember her in prayer.

You will always be my hero... Katie

I am a friend of her son Daniel. Liz was always very nice to me, and fed me on a number of occasions, and always asked after me when she saw me. She will be missed.
