Irene Fujikawa Obituary
March 30, 1925-July 30, 2013
Resident of Vacaville
Irene A. Fujikawa, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on July 30, 2013. A native Californian, Irene was a 20 year resident of Hercules prior to living in Vacaville.
Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenji Fujikawa; parents, Senzo and Sadako Hata; brothers-in-law, Charlie and Noboru Fujikawa; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Ikenaga, Michiko Jung and Kiyomi Uchino.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Emiko Nakano and Shizue Fujimura; brothers-in-law, George Fujikawa, Stan Fujikawa and Rick Uchino as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was a member of The Berkeley Higashi Honganji Temple.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Sunset View Chapel, located at the junction of Fairmount and Colusa Avenues in El Cerrito.
