Jesus died peacefully at his daughter's home in Oakland on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the age of 89.
Born in Guachinango, Jalisco, Jesus arrived in California as part of the Bracero Program. He worked as a migrant farmworker up and down California. In 1946, while working on a ranch in Gilroy, he met Ramona Aguilar. They married in 1950, and eventually settled in Concord and raised a family there. Jesus was a member of the Laborers' Union Local 324. He worked in construction, specifically, cement work, where he was known by friends and co-workers as "Jesse". Jesus enjoyed socializing with friends and loved spending time with his brothers. He had a green thumb and could grow anything. As a young man he enjoyed deer hunting.
He is survived by his children: Elba (Ruben) Lopez of Oakland, Jess (Debbie) Robles of Grass Valley, Margaret Robles of Salinas, Will (Renee) Robles of Concord, Martha (Jack) Currey of Portland, OR, Louise (Eugene) Martinez of Salinas, Teresa (Ricardo) Saldivar of Brownsville, TX; 14 granchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters: Francisca Lopez, Rutilia Corona, Carmen Arriola, all of Guachinango, Jalisco; numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Candelario & Maria de Jesus Robles; brothers: Candelario and Juan Robles.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 12:00 pm. (viewing) and 1:00 pm. (mass) at Holy Angels Cooper Chapel, Oakland, CA.
Burial will take place in Guachinango, Jalisco.

Dad, You are forever in my heart, soul and mind. My tears will dry as the days pass me by, but your memory will not fade.
