Lois Semmelmayer Obituary

Lois Stohr Semmelmayer
Sept. 15,1931 - Dec. 15, 2013
Resident of Roseville, CA (formerly of Walnut Creek, CA)
Lois Stohr Semmelmayer passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2013. The daughter of G. Fred and Mary Stohr, Lois was born in Rochester, N.Y on September 15, 1931, and was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School. She married Joseph A. Semmelmayer, predeceased in 1999, in 1950. She was the loving mother of 4 children, Mark Semmelmayer of Marietta, GA, Mary Jo Semmelmayer of Citrus Heights, CA, Steven Semmelmayer of Corona del Mar, CA and Eric Semmelmayer of Pleasanton, CA. Her children survive her and had the privilege of being with her at the end.
Lois is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Katie Duvall and Joseph, Ryan, Amy, Corey and Jordan Semmelmayer, great-grandson Atticus Duvall and daughters-in-laws Mary Semmelmayer, Janis Semmelmayer, Linda Semmelmayer and Beverly Cieslinski. She will be missed by many, starting with her good friend, Lucinda Johnson and others too numerous to name.
Lois had a life-long love of antiques and served as a docent at the Shadelands Ranch Museum in Walnut Creek and on the board of the Walnut Creek Historical Society. Her ashes will be interred in her beloved home town of Rochester, N.Y.
