Loretta C. Hauge, 93, of Livermore died peacefully on the morning of October 3, 2013. Loretta was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 15, 1919 to Mary and Joseph Schieber. She married Norman in 1940 and later moved to California where they raised their family of 6 children. Loretta was a devoted wife and mother and active in both the school and church. She was president of the Mother's Club at Sacred Heart School in Oakland in the 1960's. An avid baker, her recipes continue to be shared by her children and grandchildren and her annual baking of Norwegian Christmas bread will now be carried on by the next generation. Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy and husband Norman. She is survived by; brother John; children Gary, Richard, Karen, Elaine and Michael; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Those who knew and loved her will miss her wonderful strength, sense of humor, warm heart and ready smile. Services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Livermore, Ca. Viewing from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00am. The family requests that donations be made to Hope Hospice, Dublin, CA.
