Patricia McDonald Obituary

Patricia Valerie McDonald
Apr. 27, 1936 - Dec. 16, 2013
Resident of Moraga
Patricia was born in Kenton, England and graduated from Talbot Heath School and later secretarial college. She was born into the shadow of war in 1936, spent her formative years in Kenton and later at boarding school in Bournemouth. After graduating secretarial college she lived in London and Geneva, Switzerland. She worked as an executive secretary, even earning a top secret clearance. Throughout her life, she had the itch to travel. This itch led her to move to San Francisco in 1966. In San Francisco she met her beloved husband to whom she was married in 1968. She moved to Moraga in 1969 and resided there for 44 years.
She loved golden retrievers, her english garden, a good book, a spot of tea, traveling and most importantly her family. Her inner strength, persistence, good nature, class and humor saw her family through good times and bad.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Peter, devoted son Douglas (Janna) of Lafayette and her precious granddaughter Emma Grace. She will be deeply missed by all. Her bright smile and good humor touched all she knew. She has passed on to heaven with her beloved parents William and Mabel and sister Margaret.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Monday December 30th, 2013 at 11 AM at Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church, 10 Moraga Valley Lane in Moraga.
