Resident of Dublin CA
Paul Gannon passed away Thursday following complications of a severe hemorrhagic stroke.
In his 68 years he was a wonderful brother, amazing husband, father and grandfather, incredible friend, generous stranger, and "Mayor" to the chosen few. He spent 35 years working as an ILWU Longshore Mechanic at the Port of Oakland. He enjoyed woodworking, attending car shows and vacations at Lake Almanor. In retirement, he played Poker at the various Senior Centers, enjoyed telling the stories of his adventures and hanging out with Chuck the Dog.
He is survived by His loving wife, Rose Gannon and Daughters, Elizabeth Gannon and Margaret Kelley and Granddaughter Kaitlyn Kelley, of Dublin, Ca. He is also survived by his Sister, Dianne Feeley of Detroit, MI.
Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Service on Wednesday September 25th, 2013 at 6pm at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 1st Street, Pleasanton, Ca.
Burial Services will be held Thursday September 26 at 2pm at The Sacramento Valley VA Cemetery. 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon, Ca

Uncle Paul...we are so greatful to have spent time with you during your visit here to Hawaii. You always made time we spent together memorable, but most of all I will always remember the pedicure, and you teaching Danielle how to make your lemon merinque pie. I know how much aunty rose and the girls are going to miss you, and for them my heart breaks. Thank-you for all your kindness and your great stories and advice when we'd see you. I think our lives are better for having had you in them even if it was few and far between. God speed...your niece Lani, nephew Roger and great niece Danielle. We love you.
