Loving son, brother, grandson and vibrant teen died too soon on August 26, 2013. Robert was born February 24, 1996 in Walnut Creek, CA to Phillip and Anna-Maria Orlando.
He was attending San Ramon Valley High School and was an excellent student and avid sports lover. While earning a 4.0, Robert also participated in the High School golf and football teams. He also played little league baseball and snowboarded. He was a San Francisco 49ers, Oakland A's and Warriors fan. During his 17 short years, Robert charmed friends and family with his passion for life and sense of humor.
Robert was a charismatic, driven young man that loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, jet skiing, backpacking and especially fishing. He was goal driven, working hard to prepare for college, earning money working at Ascona Pizza and planning for his next trips.
Robert was a traveler and liked nothing more than to create a detailed trip plan including the next fishing hole and the best bait to use. His travels included San Diego beaches and trips to Idaho, Hawaii, and Nevada. Robert particularly enjoyed annual trips to Walker River and Rollins Lake with family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Gaspare and Bianca Orlando and maternal Grandfather Frank Barrett. He is survived by his mother Anna-Maria Orlando of Danville, father Phillip Orlando from Walnut Creek, his brothers Christopher and Timothy, his Grandmothers, Edda Moore, and Erika Barrett, Grandfather Winslow Moore and a plethora of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He will be missed by his many friends, especially Sarah.
A service will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at 3:30 pm at the St. Joan of Arc Parish, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd. San Ramon. Donations may be made to Kids Day of Fishing, www.kidsdayoffishing.org.
