Robert passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. Robert (Bob) was born in Chicago on November 13, 1929 to Howard and Bessie Williams and was the third of four boys.
Bob graduated from Peotone High School in 1947 where he met Marion, his future wife, and enlisted in the Navy. After serving his country during the Korean War, he earned a degree in engineering from the University of Illinois. After a full career with Chevron, where he enjoyed several international postings with his family, Bob retired in 1986. Bob loved to spend time with friends and family. He also enjoyed his many travels abroad, a round of golf and relaxing at his home of 47 years.
Bob is survived by his daughter Tracy of Long Beach, CA, son Rick (Amy) of Canton, CT and one grandchild Caroline. He is also survived by his brother Sheldon (Myrna) Williams of Mt. Morris, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Marion and his brothers Bill and Roger.
