1927-2013
Resident of Napa
Shirley Radasch Holzkamp passed away December 27, 2013 in Napa, Ca. She was born July 13, 1927 to Arthur and Katharine Radasch in Springfield, Massachusetts. Shirley graduated from Syracuse University and worked in the fashion industry until 1952 when she married the love of her life Norman Holzkamp. They made their first home in Evanston Ill. before moving to southern Cal and finally to Walnut Creek, Ca.
Shirley and Norman raised 4 children and Shirley was the ultimate homemaker while continuing careers in cake decorating, floral arrangements for weddings and an Antique business in Pleasant Hill Ca. They were married for 50 years. She belonged to the DAR, was a den mother, PTA president and never missed one of her children's events. She remained involved in the lives or her family.
Shirley moved to Napa in 2009 to live near her daughter Laura and her family. Her smile, laugh, sense of humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Laura Hadsell, Wayne, Dean, and Doug; 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
