William Curbo Obituary

William Donald Curbo Resident of Walnut Creek William passed away on January 4, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Rosebud, Texas in 1932, he graduated from Sam Houston State University in Texas in 1952 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Caballeros fraternity, which later became Sigma Chi. After obtaining a CPA, he enjoyed a 38-year career with Standard Oil, later Chevron, working in Texas, New York, Belgium, and California, retiring in 1990 as General Manager of Financial and General Accounting. He had many cherished friends at Chevron, including some he saw regularly until his final days. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita; children Cynthia Curbo, Brenda Wheeler, Patricia Stewart, and William Curbo Jr. (wife Audrey); grandchildren; Greg Stewart (wife Arleen), Thomas Wheeler, Matthew Wheeler, Jesica Curbo, Jenny Wheeler and Chelsea Curbo; sister Patsy Nefford; and nephews Gregory Nefford and Russell Nefford. He was much loved and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service for family will be held.
