Resident of Pleasanton
Ada was born in San Francisco to Daniel Marcus Lynch and Edna Lynch. She was the second youngest of seven children, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, all of whom have predeceased her. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends.
Devoted wife of Sam for 61 years, Ada was the beloved mother of Sister Claire Barone, Judy Alioto, and Joseph Barone. She was the beloved mother-in-law of Joseph Alioto (deceased) and Maricela Orozco Barone and the loving grandmother of Nunzio, Marc, Alexa, Joey, Alessandro, and Giancarlo. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Ada graduated from Mission High School where she developed a love of tennis, dance, and music. She was the first female Allstate agent, managed Imperial Savings in North Beach, and subsequently became the manager and vice-president of Eureka Federal Bank. She was known for her work ethic and fiery spirit.
Loved by all who knew her, Ada was respected for her honesty and tenacity. The love of her family and her desire to give her children a fine education were her lifelong passions. She instilled in them the importance of character, an appreciation of quality, and the value of doing one's best. The last 15 years of her life were spent in Pleasanton near her son, Joe, and his wife, Maricela. She made many new friends and enjoyed many social events through Joe's and Mari's restaurant, Barone's. She will be greatly missed by all.
