Antonia Sanchez April 3, 1921 - June 10, 2013 Resident of Antioch Antonia Sanchez passed away peacefully on Monday at home with her beloved family present. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio in 1977 and son-in-law Bob Hawkins in 2012. Antonia was born in Estepona, Spain and came to Antioch with her family in 1953. She retired as a cannery worker, having worked at Western, Hickmott and Tillie Lewis canneries for 25 years. She volunteered at the Brown Bag Food Bank for over 30 years and there wasn't a person she met that didn't become her friend. Antonia is greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends. Antonia was very happy she was able to attend the wedding of her great granddaughter Tara on June 1st. Antonia is survived by her two daughters; Isabel (Liz) Hawkins and Antoinette (Tonie) Jorge (John Bartlett), four grandchildren, Bobby Hawkins (Mary Edwards), Tonie Kiefer (John), Crystal Jorge (Mark Philbrook), and Stephanie Wilson (Dave), four great grandchildren, Tara Paddock (Ian), Robert Hawkins, Myah and Evah Wilson, and 2 great-great grandchildren, Axle Paddock and Robert Hawkins Jr. Visitation will be Thursday, June 13 from 4-7 with Rosary following and funeral will be Friday, June 14 at 10 at Holy Cross and Angels Cemetery Center at 2200 E 18th St in Antioch.
