Armond F. GrandPre entered peacefully into rest in Concord on April 13, 2013. He was 90 years of age. Born in Concordia, Kansas on September 30, 1922, Armond had proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Devoted to his family, Armond enjoyed fishing and hunting, cooking and cheering for his favorite team, the SF Giants. He always appreciated a good joke, loved eating hamburgers and drinking a chocolate shake and was grateful for the love and friendship of those that called him "Grandpa". His sense of humor and catchphrase "I'm just here to make the crowd big" will truly be missed by many. Armond is survived by his loving daughters and spouses, Cynthia Anderson (Larry) and Diane Hartzell (Kenny). He will truly be missed by his beloved grandchildren, Lisa Sugrue, Andrew and Alex Hartzell, Armond Anderson (Kim) and Sarah Eldridge (Rickey) and great grandchildren, Atheana and Jenesis Anderson, Samantha and Anthony Eldridge, Haleigh, Jake and Victoria Sugrue. He also leaves behind his sister, Dora Lee Hudsonpillar of Kansas and nephew Wayne Monroe (Bev) of Montana and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara GrandPre and granddaughter Kendra Hartzell. He was laid to rest at a private family service at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
