Bert Curry Oct. 8, 1922 ~ Jun. 22, 2013 Resident of Pinole Bert passed away at home due to complications of lung cancer at the age of 90 with his loving children by his side. He was a resident of Tara Hills in Pinole. Bert was married to the love of his life, Virginia for 62 years who passed away in 2008. Bert & Virginia had four children, Sharon McCollum of Lockeford, Henrietta Borromeo of Pinole, Diana Collier of El Sobrante and Bert Curry Jr. of El Sobrante, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephew, & Sister-in-law, Elaine Moore of Las Vegas. Bert was born & raised in Richmond, CA in the home that his Sister, Henrietta Coppi still lives in. Bert enlisted in the Army in 1943. He always worked 2 jobs to support his family and did an incredible job. One of his many jobs was working for Cadillac Ambulance as a driver for 2 years. He also worked for the City of Richmond as an Equipment Operator for 28 years. After retiring from the City of Richmond he worked for Patchet Bus Company for 5 years driving workers to and from the oil ships. Bert & Virginia were avid workers and helpers at the Italian Galileo Club in Richmond for many years. Bert loved working in his yard gardening and loved watching his favorite Bay Area Sports teams, the SF Giants and SF 49ers. Visitation & rosary will be held at Holy Angels St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Pinole on Friday, June 28th at 11:30am.
