Blaze Dean Smith, 36, resident of Pleasanton, CA passed away suddenly on Saturday evening, April 20, 2013.
Blaze, a graduate of California High School, was born in Thousand Oaks, CA. At one-year old his family moved to and he lived his entire life in the San Ramon Valley.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman spending a lot of time hunting and fishing with his father Gary. Blaze owned his own repair and maintenance business, Blaze's Home Solutions, and he and his partner, Marsha, shared a home with his 6 year old son, Maverick.
Blaze is survived by his son, Maverick; partner Marsha Lorenzo of Pleasanton; Maverick's mother Jennifer Smith, father Gary Smith and step-mother Donna Misky, all of San Ramon; his mother and step-father Kathy and Al Reasner of Kelseyville, CA and step-sister Lindsey Ehlers of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters Tonya Coughlan of San Francisco and Michelle and her husband Scott Trombla of Miranda, CA; grandmother Maxine Lotsey of Lakeport, CA, and uncles Bob Burns of Middletown, CA and Boyd Smith and wife Rosemary of Sunnyvale, CA.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, April 25 from 5-8 pm at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First Street, Pleasanton, CA 94566 and a funeral service at the same location on Friday, April 26 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Pioneer Cemetery. Reception to follow services at the home of his father Gary Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an account established for the education of Blaze's 6 year-old son, Maverick Dean Smith at any Wells Fargo Bank.
